One of the best pieces of advice I can give you if you are going into investment is to find a mentor. Find someone who has succeeded in investment, there are many retired successful investment people who can keep you on the straight and narrow.

You have to remember that what may work in one investment may be totally unsuited to others. Of course I still ask Mum and Dad questions. Dad is in his nineties and still works a 50 to 60 hour week and hates to go on holidays because he would hate to let his clients down. Over the years clients become friends, as well as advocates who will tell others about you.
